- Guarda che bel cielo stellato! - dissi eccitato mentre tornavamo in albergo.
- Pfff sono solo due stelle. - Arika mi rispose scocciata, con quel suo accento francese. Quel giorno non eravamo d'accordo su niente, litigavamo per le cose più stupide, anche per dove andare a pranzo. Io vedevo una costellazione, lei solo due stelle. Il punto critico di ogni relazione tra due o più individui: vedere la stessa cosa da diversi punti di vista e pensare che la nostra visione è l'unica corretta. La presi sotto braccio, facemmo due passi indietro e le mostrai che in verità ce n’ era più di una. Non mi credeva, continuava a vederne solo due. Passammo tutta la notte a discutere di quello. Fino all’ alba quando le stelle sparirono e noi non arrivammo a una conclusione. Tornammo a casa ormai stanchi e ancora parlando della stessa cosa. Ci mettemmo a letto e facemmo l'amore dolcemente non per perversione ma per far pace. Perché ogni giorno deve finire e iniziare allo stesso modo, col sorriso.

- Pfff are just two stars.- Arika answered me, with her French accent. That day we did not agree on anything, we were fighting for the stupid things, even where to go for lunch. I could see a constellation, she could only see two stars. This is the crucial point of any relationship between two or more individuals: to think our point of view cannot be wrong. I took her under her arm two steps back and showed her that in truth there was more than two stars. She did not believe me, she only saw two. We spent all night discussing that. Until dawn when the stars disappeared and we had not arrived to a conclusion. We came home now tired and still talking about the same thing. We went to bed and made love sweetly not for perversion but to make peace. Because every day must end and start the same way, with the smile.
